You Can Find Me In Da Club

I wrote a whole giant draft of a post about how I was waffling on joining the Premier Club this year, with all my pros and cons. Then Breyer hit us with the Mink preview and all that went straight out the window.

I like the mule, I love both the ponies, and I ADORE the Murgese. Throw in the bonus SM and it's now a can't miss year.
The price is up to $195 each this year - but with free shipping in the US, which somehow psychologically is always just better. Seeing that $20ish charge added on during checkout is more painful than having it built in. Plus it helps with secondary sales because sometimes convincing people that "at cost" includes that original tax and shipping is difficult.
The collectors club is always a no brainer for me. It is worth it to be in the drawings for things like special runs, test colors, and collector events. I also love the promotions like the CC Appreciation "free" glossies and the Black Friday sale. Since I go to Breyerfest every year I also make good use of the free waters and the members tent to relax in.
If you're still on the fence between the regular CC and the Deluxe CC my gut feeling is that the deluxe stablemate Mustang deco is going to sell on the secondary market for more than the cost of the club by itself. The appy is really cute too although they might be a dime a dozen! A lot of collectors (*cough*me*cough*) are going to be looking to get all four decorator colors so demand will be high. So much that I'm even considering just getting four memberships myself and attempting trades in the likely event I do not get one of each. The extra chances for drawings I am interested in (and the extra waters!) are always welcome.
On that at least I have until March 2nd to decide!
I AM still debating about the SM club. You wouldn't think so because I actually love all of the releases that have been previewed for next year - but I have been in the SM Club since the beginning and struggle to sell my extras or non-keepers for even $15-20. I have quite a stack of them in my sales pile and stablemates in general barely even got a second glance in my room sales last year. I feel like they're oversaturated at the moment (I know I for one am overrun with them). So I'm leaning towards not joining this time and looking for them at the CHIN. It will be interesting to see if they tease the gambler's choice - it may come down to that for me because those are always harder to track down. The donkey made me re-join last year.
Vintage club I have been out of for awhile - after being in for a few years I realized what I like is actual vintage and most of the club models weren't really doing it for me. Especially now with the run numbers increased I'm not too worried about finding the ones I might want. The only year I regret not being in was the Nugget year. I've only managed to get the wedgewood so far and the prices on them just keep going up!
