What I Bought vs What I Got: Chalkies Round 2

It's time for another round of chalky hunting! I bought some more things - thinking they might be chalkies. Let's see how we did.
What I Bought: First up it's this Pronghorn! I've been working on finding some of the animals in chalky and this Pronghorn looks very chalky plastic to me. The white looks super bright and the underside and feet especially look like the way chalky plastic looks on many of my other for sure chalkies. I'm feeling like 75% sure on this guy.

What I Bought: Number two it's this lot - I think the QH Yearling here also looks like chalky plastic. It always helps if there's other horses in the lot you can kind of compare them to and next to the CAM the plastic looks chalky to me. The closeups also seem to confirm it and the blaze is right for the era, although the nose rub is a little weird looking. I'll go 75% on this one too.

What I Bought: Next up it's a Running Foal! The bay Running Foal is one of, if not the most common of all 1970s chalkies - so they are usually a good bet when it looks like a chalky. And this one looks very very much like a basecoat chalky to me. I can't tell from the photos if there is a USA stamp but the paint job looks more 70s than 60s to me, so most likely. Still I like to grab them just in case of painted over deco and this one was only $9.99. I never like to say 100% but I am nearly 100% sure this is chalky... we can say 99%.

What I Bought: I got sucked in to another Shetland Pony lot. This one has some really good closeups though and that sure looks like a basecoat chalky to me. That rub above her eye almost looks like the telltale halo. I get fooled a lot by Shetland Ponies though... sometimes when models are this dusty they get the chalky appearance when they aren't really. Also even the Swaps looks sort of chalky and that would be extremely rare - one of my counterpoints is "if everything looks chalky then probably nothing is" but on the other hand he doesn't looks chalky in the closeups. I'll go maybe 60% on this one.

So what do we think? I was pretty confident last time but only got like maybe 1.5 out of 5 LOL. I think I did better this round, but let's find out.
What I Got: It's a lovely but Not Chalky Pronghorn! Womp womp. I was really hoping I had found one here but alas - he's just a lovely white one with nice shading. But since I don't otherwise collect the animals he will be on the sales shelf at BF!
What I Got: Chalky! The QH Yearling is indeed a chalky! He is chalky plastic - as are all the QH yearlings I think I've ever seen. He's not an upgrade to my current one, but close. He's not in bad shape at all and I'll see if I can clean him up and do some touch-ups.

The other two are not, as expected, and the CAM will end up in the body box. Actually the little Andalusian Foal is surprisingly nice and he will join my accidental conga of this mold that I've been accumulating from lots like this.
What I Got: Chalky! The Running Foal is chalky! Not surprised at all here with this one. He's also a 70s basecoat chalky as expected, so no hidden decos here. He's a very nice one and I like the relatively low socks on him.

What I Got: Chalky! The Shetland Pony was a win this time! She is really nice and definitely a basecoat chalky. I gave her a little bath and she cleaned up well and might be an upgrade to my current one. They are in pretty similar condition.

The two classics she rode along with are not chalky, also as expected, but they aren't too bad. I already have quite a few Swaps and MOWs though so they'll also be on the sales shelf.
