The Countdown is on!

I leave Monday for Breyerfest and I think it has only just dawned on me how little time is actually left. I am looking at my list and I still have so much to do! I'm not showing this year so thankfully I don't have the added stress of cleaning and packing up my show string - but just finishing cleaning, packing, and pricing my sales models is still a lot to do and then making sure I have, you know, clean clothes. Most likely my snack and supply run will have to wait for Monday morning.

It takes me about 13-14 hours driving to get to Kentucky but I rarely do it all in one day anymore. That means I don't have to leave at the crack of dawn. I also live in what was recently announced as the number one worst traffic corridor in the entire country and so I need to avoid rush hour as much as I possibly can or I'm going to add three extra hours to the trip.

I'm going to try some "live blogging" this year during Breyerfest! Not truly live blogging, but posting while down there. I always use my desktop computer to write but I downloaded the app for my phone so hopefully I can do some fun real time posts throughout the week. Then again, if I reach the usual state of Breyerfest Overwhelm you might not hear from me again for two weeks, haha.

Many of my sales models come from the large lots I buy throughout the year. Today I've been doing some cleaning of the spares that are too nice for the body box. Of course, I'm running in to the problem that now that they are clean and nice I want to keep them instead. I'm trying to use the method someone gave me years ago of imaging the model on the shelf at a flea market or antique mall. I ask myself, would I buy this if I found it in the wild at the price I'm about to sell it for? If the answer is yes, then I keep it. If the answer is no, then it can go. This works pretty well for me when I'm on the fence. Oops and a few things just got put back on the shelf 😆.

Oh no, are they too nice to sell now?

In terms of other last minute items I have also decided I want to print my QR codes this year. I had downloaded them in to my Apple Wallet last year and that was very convenient but it also turned out to be hard to remember which ones I had scanned and which ones had which models on them. If I print them out then I can make notes on them which should be super helpful.

Good luck to everyone else in the final throes of BF preparation - we got this!
