A Little Clearance Shopping

I decided to partake in a little pre-tariff shopping after all.

Breeches.com has a number of nice Breyer models on clearance for 30% off so I decided to take advantage of that sale and grab a few that have been lingering on my "get eventually" list. If they ended up getting price hiked next month I knew I would regret it. They were under $35 each and I got to the free shipping level when getting the three.

Harley I just love! The old Friesian was one of my first models and has always been a nostalgic favorite for me. I also love seeing the real horse Harley whenever we are watching the races, so I've been looking to add this guy to the herd eventually. I've considered trying to find the glossy one, but he wouldn't ever be a show model for me so the matte is perfect.

Atlanta is another favorite! I love this beautiful Standardbred mold but the original color on the premier model was not my cup of tea, nor was the white one although she was cool, so I was thrilled when she was released in a beautiful bay last year. I wish she had a bit more shading, but this one has just enough to keep the color from being too flat.

I also adore the Georg mold and he is just so cute as a portrait of Legend. I love the bright whites (hopefully this era of plastic stays this way!) with the minimal pinto pattern. If I was hand-picking I might have looked for slightly better masking and a little better hoof paint coverage, but he's also not likely to make the cut in to my drafter show string so he's just perfect as is!
Interesting they are all VINs of late 2023
I was tempted to grab Full Moon Rising and Neptune as well - you don't see them priced that low very often either - but I don't collect either mold and I'm trying to cut back on unicorns (even though Neptune's color is SO cool) so I managed to resist on them for now.
